Rouen city guide
Enjoy the panorama of Côte Sainte-Catherine at nightfall
Côte Sainte-Catherine: a wonderful panorama
The summit of Côte Sainte-Catherine, near our hotel, formerly known as Mont de Rouen, offers an ideal viewpoint from which to admire the city of a hundred steeples and the curves of the Seine. In the footsteps of Claude Monet, this walk offers a romantic green setting. Located only 1.5 km from the cathedral and the historic centre of the Norman capital, you don't need to be a great walker to enjoy this splendid panorama. Immortalised by many painters, this unique panorama allows you to discover Rouen, its architectural heritage and to measure the extent of its urban area. At nightfall, the illuminated city echoes these words by Pissaro: "We saw the most splendid landscape that a painter could dream(...) It was magical."
